GOGO SAMUELU - Samoa
Gogo Samuelu is a member of Faleula Fogaa center running an ice cake business. She has been doing this business for a year.
Gogo is a very good member; she repays her loan on time, always attends her weekly meetings, and is enthusiastic about expanding her business. She has used her previous loan to purchase cordial, sugar, foam cups and pay electricity used for her business.
She says that the Kiva loans and SPBD loans are not only helping her business grow, but also helping her pay her children’s school fees, feed her family better, and improve her housing. She earns a weekly profit of 150 Tala, but not all weeks she’ll be earning this, some weeks she would earn 70 Tala only. Already paid back her loan in full, and she’s working on improving her business.
